Fashionista..Who?

Fashionista - an urban word. Why urban? coz the word just existed in the dictionary world. Don't ask me when, of course i don't know..hehe.


My definition of fashionista - is a person who really into fashion. Fashion is her/his passion. Very up to date, trendy, but not necessary a brand/designers conscious. But however fashion is very tag along with brand, they can't be separated. It depends on the person. If the person very fashionable, whatever they wear seems so lavish and expensive. So fashion is about being creative. 


A fashionista also can sometimes a trend setter. People tend to follow their fashions. 


Ok that's my definition of fashionista.

According to Dictionary.com, a fashionista is a "person working in or deeply involved with the high-fashion industry, such as a designer, model, photographer, buyer, writer, wearer; or a devotee to clothing fashion."


Ok my curusity is just one thing. Can you call yourself a fashionista? Or is it a 'title' people gives/judges you, like the 'Diva' title? 


Hmm.. very curious.. :D . What say you?
